So pastel shades, contrast, lace, bold patterns and floral prints are set to brighten up our wardrobes for the Spring/ Summer months this year. Although I cringed a little bit when I heard that the pastel colours were going to be popular as I'm not the biggest fan of those shades against my skin tone, after scouring through all the new collections online, I found a few things that I really want to get my hands on for the next couple of seasons :)
1. New Look Deck Plain Pump £9.99
I really need a pair of comfy flats for Spring/ Summer as I tend to live in my boots and they're not very fitting for sunny days. I love these ones from New Look and at that price I don't think you can go wrong. They come in loads of different colours too :)
2. Primark Contrast Sleeve Floral Blouse £12

2. Primark Contrast Sleeve Floral Blouse £12
I've always loved the floaty chiffon blouses that were everywhere in 2011 and I love the floral design on the bodice of this one. I think this could be dressed up for a night out or just worn with jeans for a more casual look.
3. Primark Colour Block Dress £17
This dress is a big longer than I would usually wear (at 5' 4" I don't tend to reach for skirts that hit my knees), but I think I may have to make an exception for this, I love the colour blocking and the sleeves!
4. MissGuided Narema Long Sleeved Lace Skater Dress £32.99

4. MissGuided Narema Long Sleeved Lace Skater Dress £32.99
When I saw this dress, I instantly fell in love with the neckline, it reminds me of a wedding dress (Kate Middleton comes to mind?)
5. Miss Selfridge Skater Dress £39
I don't usually like high necklines on dresses, but I think the mesh insert makes up for this one. I love the shape of this dress and the contrasting tan skirt against the coral and black.

6. River Island Black Stripe Longline Blazer £55
This blazer is very loud and is definitely one to wear with more simple outfits, but I think it would look lovely with a pastel coloured top underneath it.
7. River Island Black Stripe Clutch Bag £25

7. River Island Black Stripe Clutch Bag £25
Another loud item, but I think this could add a pop of quirkiness to any outfit, and because it is black and white, it could be teamed with a lot of things.
What is your favourite trend for Spring/ Summer 2012?
I love the river island clutch bag
