Guest Blogger: E.L.F. Review.

For my first guest post, the lovely Sabina from Sparkly Flamingo is going to review some of her favourite E.l.f products for you. Do check out her blog!
 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone! I am Sparkly Flamingo !

When I saw the lovely Frances' post about Guest Bloggers, I surprised myself by offering to do a guest post! I have only been writing my little blog for a month now, but have loved having the opportunity to write and photograph my thoughts and read lots of brilliant blogs!

A few weeks back, I ordered some lovely goodies from e.l.f (15 things to be exact!) and thought I would review a few of my favourite products from my stash.

Favourite Number One:

Mineral Infused Face Primer

I love this primer!  I have got oily/combination skin so often rely on primers to help to minimise my pores and keep my makeup on my face for longer.  I have tried quite a few primers in my time but this is definitely my favourite.

It has a gel-like consistency and one pump is all I need to cover my face before applying my concealer and foundation. Once applying, my skin automatically feels really soft and smooth and my pores look smaller.  Result!  I feel that it definitely helps my foundation to stay on much longer than usual and (probably due to the mineral goodness) my skin has felt a bit softer after taking my make up off in the evening.

At £6 a bottle, I think this is a really reasonable price as it will last for ages.

My only negative comment about this primer has to be the smell - I feel that it smells odd although I can't quite put my finger on what the smell is!

Favourite Number Two:
Mineral Booster in Sheer

As mentioned before, I have quite oily skin so am always on the lookout for new products which help to keep my skin and my makeup looking fab.  I was drawn to this product by the description on the e.l.f website: "Achieve the ultimate, translucent "photo finishing touch" to your makeup, our Mineral Booster melts into your skin, infusing it with key vitamins A, B and E to promote healthier skin that’s noticeably silkier and smoother. Completely sheer and ideal for all skin tones, Mineral Booster gently absorbs oil and minimizes the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and pores for a beautiful even finish. Wear alone or buff over our Mineral Concealer and Foundation to lend extra staying power and to achieve a professional and stunning porcelain matte look that will last all day."

After applying my foundation and concealer, I buff a light covering over my face using a large brush.  I have found that a little goes a long way!  I have very pale skin and have found that the Booster definitely helps me to achieve a porcelain and shine - free face!  I apply a little extra to areas with some scarring and feel that it provides slightly more coverage.

What I really liked was the fact that you could buy this in a small (£3.50) or large pot (£5).  I bought the small pot as I wanted to try it out and will definitely be purchasing more in the future!

I would love to hear about other elf products you could recommend and will be reviewing more of my bargain lovely smooth face finds in the future!

Thank you Frances for letting me fill a little space on your brilliant blog! xxxx
