Weekly Wishlist #25

This week's wishlist has been somewhat of a saviour for me this week haha! I have been feeling very exhausted and unhinged recently, and scouring through the new-in sections has been cheering me up and keeping my mind off things. Only thing is that I also feel the need to purchase everything on this list- Why is shopping so therapeutic?! :(

Cut outs and dip dye are, of course, very on trend this year, and this jumper features both! I'm not sure if it's a little too much though? But I do love the grey dip-dye!

How very 40's flapper style! Admittedly, this dress doesn't look like much in the picture above, but I saw it on a model on the Glamorous Instagram page and it is amazing! It would be perfect for Autumn/Winter parties :)

I love the print on these shorts, the detail on them is really pretty and I think they would look lovely teamed with a black button up blouse for a gothic look with a girly twist.

I want in on this tassel trend, if you hadn't noticed :P I adore this body, I can imagine it looking amazing worn with a pair of black Disco Shorts... I love how the fringe is dip dyed to add a pop of colour!
This is the back of the dress shown in the picture above, I have a thing for cream/white dresses lately as I think they're really versatile and can be styled in a feminine or more edgy way. I love open back dresses too, so this caught my eye instantly!

I hope you like my picks! Are you loving the "fringe" trend?

Editeurs At Large.

Firstly, sorry for the picture overload, I simply couldn't narrow my favourite photos down any more!
A couple of weeks ago I received an exciting email from the lovely Clare about a blogger event that was being organised at The Editeur in Chester. Her, Sarah and the team at The Editeur had spent the past few months organising this event and their effort definitely showed on the night.

The Editeur is a boutique based in Chester that sells designer womenswear and accessories. Last Thursday I went along to the event where I was greeted by the lovely team as well as rails of beautiful garments that I could only dream of buying! We were offered a glass of champagne and some amazingly yummy cupcakes before being set free to wander around the boutique and take a look through the clothes that they had to offer. I was instantly drawn to the Sam Edelman shoes and clutch bags- studs and spikes heaven! After searching through the rails and mingling with the staff and other bloggers for a while, we were allowed to pick our favourite pieces to try on and have our pictures taken in them! I have picked out a few of my favourite photos to show you- I fell in love with the Red Valentino leather jacket- too bad it costs £965.00!

Overall, it was a really fun night and we got to take home some amazing goodie bags which included a Sportmax belt, a Chlobo bracelet and some Wolford tights! I want to say a huge thank you to everybody who helped put together the event and I hope The Editeur hosts some more events for us Northern bloggers in the future! :)

What are your favourite designer labels?

Daisy Street Style Off.

Top: £14.99
Shorts: £21.99
Jacket: £49.99
Boots: £24.99
Heels: £39.99
Purple Ring: £4.99
Bracelet: £5.99

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by the lovely Ellanora at Punk PR, who told me that I had been chosen as one of their favourite bloggers to enter their Blogger Style Off competition with DaisyStreet.co.uk. I was so excited about being a part of this as I have always loved Daisy Street, even before their venture in to clothing!

What I had to do was create a collage of my must-have outfit using only products from Daisy Street, so here it is! I decided to come up with a versatile outfit, that could be worn for different occasions, to suit different moods. The floral t-shirt could be worn alone as a girly, summery piece, but could be edged up with the studded jacket and shorts (which as I'm sure you are all aware by now, I am obsessed with!). I think this is one of those outfits that can be dressed up or down aswell; the purple boots are great for a day time look, but add statement shoes and a matching red lip and you're good to hit the town in the evening!

If you like the outfit I put together, I would love it if you would "like" my collage on Facebook here. The top three collages with the most votes will be put in front of the directors of Punk PR and Daisy Street, and their chosen winner will win all the items in their collage! How exciting?!
If you vote for me, please let me know! :)

My Jewellery Collection and Storage: Necklaces

I asked earlier on Twitter if you would be interested in seeing my jewellery collection and how I store it, and a few of you expressed an interest so here it is! I will be doing it as a series to separate it all up a little, starting with my necklaces :)

Before I organised my jewellery, my necklaces were either kept in a jewellery box or laid out across my desk, meaning they were always getting in the way or getting tangled up in each other. When you have a lot of necklaces this can become to be very annoying, so I decided it was time to invest in a wall hanger for them. I got this wire "My Necklaces" hanger from this eBay seller. I love shabby chic furniture and I think this fits in well, and even better, it only cost £5.75 with free postage, and it arrived within two days! I distribute my necklaces randomly across the pegs (I like how some of them hang lower than others) and it keeps them from getting tangled and they are all visible and easy to find. I only keep my costume/fashion jewellery on this hanger- my more valuable and precious necklaces stay in my jewellery box.

Outfit: Festival Fashion #3

Dress: OASAP* | Boots: Tribeca Shoes* | Floral Headband: Miss Selfridge | Belt: Primark | Spike Rings: Miss Selfridge | Peace Ring: Dorothy Perkins | Above Knuckle Rings: Dixi

Here is the last installment of my festival fashion feature :) I'm really impressed with this dress from OASAP- I find their things a little hit or miss sometimes but this is great, although I think I will replace the buttons as they look and feel a little cheap and tacky. I worry that high-low skirts are always going to be too long for me as I'm not very tall but I really like where this one falls and I love the open back detail and the collar tips- they add a unique twist to it. The boots are now my go-to boots for Autumn/ Winter; I have always opted for military or biker style boots as they're really comfortable and go with anything! I finished off this look with the floral headband that I forgot to include in my last outfit post- I think it really ties together the festival look.

I hope you have enjoyed my festival inspired outfit posts! I am now off to mope about over the fact that Creamfields is happening just 20 minutes away from me and I'm not there! I was passing through the bus station earlier today and I saw loads of people waiting for a bus to the site- so depressing ha! :(

Have you been to a festival this year?

Luxury Looks on the High Street.

We all know that if we won the lottery we would treat ourselves to a Mulberry bag and a pair of Louboutins or three. However, since a lot of us are students and a meal at a sit-in restaurant is considered a treat to us, we will have to keep dreaming for now. Thankfully, the high street is around to save our day, taking a lot of inspiration from the catwalks and coming up with similar designs for more forgiveable prices. The quality may not always be as immaculate as designer pieces but that is something that I can look past if I am saving myself some pennies. Whilst mooching around at the classy clothes, shoes and bags at Avenue32, a luxury clothing website, I decided to see if I could find some high street dupes for some of their pieces.

1. Designer: No. 21 £380.00
High Street: Glamorous £26.99

Do you like to treat yourself to a luxury piece every now and again? Or are you a high street dupes girl all the way?

Weekly Wishlist #25

Since getting my Glamorous Disco Shorts today, I have been thinking about what I can team them with. I love the embellishment on this crop top and I think it would look lovely paired with the high-waisted shorts and killer heels on a night out.

You all know I love crosses by now, right? I think the detail on the knee area of these leggings is really unique, and would make for a really interesting outfit, even if they are worn with a plain black top.

How pretty is this dress? I love how flouncy the skirt is- it reminds me a little bit of a tutu! I love the detail on the bodice too, the whole dress has such a delicate but "fun" look to it.

I think this would make a great piece for an "effortless" outfit. Teamed with a pair of black leggings, it would make a simple outfit for those lazier days, but the dipped hem and sequin cross detail would make you look a little more dressed up :)

I recently got a similar pair of these from Tribeca Shoes, but in black with a wooden heel. I love the shape of them- they're unique and I think they look really flattering. I really want this cream pair to add to my collection, and of course the spikes are a bonus!

I hope you like my picks this week! :)

Top Five Tips for Review Writing.

Hey everybody!

Just a quick post to direct you over to the e-tail bloggers network, where I have written a guest post on my top five tips for writing reviews! If you are new to product reviews or just need a few tips, feel free to take a look at my post here :)

NOTD: Purple Glitter Gradient

Base Coat: OPI Original Nail Envy
Light Purple: MUA Love Hearts Collection in U ROK
Dark Purple: Mavala in Flashy Violet
Glitter: Barry M in Pink Iridescent
Top Coat: Barry M
Rings: Dixi

It feels like ages since I last did a NOTD post so I thought I would do something funky on my nails today. I had been wanting to try this unique twist on the gradient/ ombre nail since I saw it on Kim's blog (Sweet Monday) a while ago. To achieve it, I applied a clear base coat and then I used the same sponging technique that I used in my gradient nail tutorial to apply my purple nail polishes just to the tips of my nails, before finishing off with a little bit of iridescent glitter and a top coat to blend the shades together.

What do you think? Have you tried gradient nails?

Outfit: Festival Fashion #2

Shirt: Laura Ashley via charity shop | Vest: Primark | Culottes: Primark via charity shop | Shoes: Missikon* | Treasure Chest Necklace and Flower Ring: Little Trinkets*| Stud rings: Miss Selfridge | Peace rings: Dorothy Perkins | Train Necklace:  Vintage

Here is the second part of my series of festival fashion looks! Please note that I was also supposed to be wearing a flower crown with this outfit, but I forgot to bring it out with me :( so annoyed, it completely finished off the look.
Whenever I think of festival fashion, flowers and floral prints just scream out at me. The point is to look a bit like a hippy, right? I love the floral print on these shorts and I also love how loose and airy they are- festival crowds get hot, y'know? I like layering shirts over an outfit if I don't want to get too hot but need a cover up for when it gets cooler in the evening, and I think checked shirts are also a must-have for that cool but effortless look.
Lastly, I just needed to show you my new shoes- I fell in love as soon as I opened the box. Some have told me I am taking my stud obsession a little too far... I like to disagree.

I hope you like this outfit! What are your festival fashion essentials?

OnePiece Jump In.

When I attended the Nelly event in Liverpool last month, I was kindly given a OnePiece to take home and review. OnePiece is a Norwegian brand who make one piece (who'd have known?) sweatsuits, which were designed with lazy, hungover days in mind.

I love my OnePiece, and it has definitely served me well through some lazy Sundays after a long, hard night of partying. The inside is fleecy and soft and it is great at keeping me warm so I can't wait to wear it over the winter months. They are sized quite large and are unisex- The sizes range from XXS to XL and an XXS fits me perfectly (I'm just under 5ft 4, for reference).

OnePieces come in a lot of different colours and designs too (the one I have is the College 69 Grey Melange*), and if onesies aren't your thing, they also sell hoodies, playsuits, tank tops, shorts and pants (I really want one of their hoodies, they look so comfy!).

The downside about OnePiece is that their products are quite pricey. Products start at around £59-£89 for hoodies and sweatpants, £98 for a basic original OnePiece, and printed/designed versions sell for way over £100. If you can justify paying those sort of prices, however, I can assure you that you are paying for quality and I can see mine lasting a long time. The Onepieces are made out of quite a heavy material, and mine has been in the washing machine a few times now and the material inside hasn't lost its fleeciness or turned bobbly.

If you would like to check out what OnePiece have to offer, you can go to their website here. Sorry for the lack of photos of me wearing my OnePiece, I didn't have chance to take any pictures of myself in it, but I will try to update this post with a picture tomorrow! For now, check out these pictures of the models wearing them for reference (the middle one is the one that I have- please note that I don't look as trendy as these girls when I'm wearing mine; I somewhat resemble a potato of some sort).

Do you own anything from OnePiece? Or would you rather settle for an £8 Primark number?
