Event: #DieselFN6 Diesel Festival Number 6 Launch Party.

Being a lover of all things fashion, music and festival related, I was excited when the lovely Laura from Diesel contacted telling me that their team were travelling up North for a launch party to celebrate their collaboration with Festival Number 6. One thing I love about the Diesel is the rustic vibes that their stores give off and you can certainly tell that they are high on the festival scene- As soon as I walked through the doors of their Manchester store and was greeted by the funky disco sounds of Horse Meat Disco, I was instantly transported back to the shacks along the beautiful shores of Calvi. It is a very different festival that they are collaborating with this time, however, and instead of raving to electronic pop and rock music waist deep in sea water in the sunny south of France, they will be taking a more old school and local approach and dancing along the ethereal landscape of Portmeirion to the likes of Manic Street Preachers and My Bloody Valentine. Either way, it sounds like bliss to me.

The gorgeous Monica, who blogs over at The Elgin Avenue has been working alongside Diesel to put together a capsule collection which was showcased at the event (you can view it on her blog here). I loved her picks of a patchwork denim shirt and a bold printed playsuit which would make perfect festival fashion pieces for a weekend at Portmeirion where the weather may be a little more unpredictable. I also took a wander around the store and fell head over heels in love with Diesel's collection of pastel pieces, as well a slouchy bat-wing parka jacket. Somebody lend me a few hundred pounds so that they can be mine? No? Okay.

Even though I unfortunately had to leave before the performance of indie rock band Dutch Uncles, who will also be performing at Festival Number 6, I had a lovely time at the event and was so full of Kraken Rum and Fever Tree Ginger Beer and Elderflower Tonic, which there seemed to be an unlimited supply of behind the free bar (Diesel know how to party)!

Have you heard of Festival Number 6? What do you think of Monica's capsule collection?
