NOTD: Purple Glitter Gradient

Base Coat: OPI Original Nail Envy
Light Purple: MUA Love Hearts Collection in U ROK
Dark Purple: Mavala in Flashy Violet
Glitter: Barry M in Pink Iridescent
Top Coat: Barry M
Rings: Dixi

It feels like ages since I last did a NOTD post so I thought I would do something funky on my nails today. I had been wanting to try this unique twist on the gradient/ ombre nail since I saw it on Kim's blog (Sweet Monday) a while ago. To achieve it, I applied a clear base coat and then I used the same sponging technique that I used in my gradient nail tutorial to apply my purple nail polishes just to the tips of my nails, before finishing off with a little bit of iridescent glitter and a top coat to blend the shades together.

What do you think? Have you tried gradient nails?
