Weekly Wishlist #28

I am enjoying buying knitwear for Autumn/Winter, but I love finding pieces that are a little different from your average jumper. I don't know why this one caught my eye; I just think that the alphabet print is a really quirky idea!

I love the print on this top- it's so unique! I think it would look great worn with plain black leggings and leather jacket- the detail on the map print means that you can keep the rest of your outfit simple.

I think I need to add some velvet pieces to my wardrobe this A/W- especially in black or burgundy; I love the way it looks! This skater dress is a classic style and I think it would look fab dressed up or down :)

4. MUA Nail Constellations £3.00 each.
I wasn't that excited about the release of the Ciate Caviar Nail kits- They were just so overpriced for what they were and to be honest, I just didn't understand why you would want to look like you were wearing fish eggs on your nails. However, at £3.00, I think I can afford to give the MUA version a try- I love the colours available and I think Constellations is a much more appealing name!

I love wearing scarves and snoods for an effortless look instead of necklaces, and it's a plus that they help keep you warm too! You know how I love crosses, so I really like this snood, and I think it would go with most of my Autumn/Winter outfits :)

I hope you like my picks! :)

Weekly Wishlist #27

I'm not usually one for very busy prints but for some reason this dress caught my eye and I can actually imagine myself wearing it. I think the reason I love it so much is because there is so much pattern and detail to look at- I especially love the rose print in the middle.

Like I said in my last wishlist, I just can't get enough of the burgundy pieces that have recently popped up at LOVE. I love the pleat and key hole detail on the bodice of this dress, it is a unique little touch!

I live in boots in Autumn/Winter (heck- I love wearing boots in the Summer, too!) so I really want to start stocking up on different styles. I have always loved the look of the Topshop Allegras and these are a lovely dupe for a very affordable price!

I finally got my hands on the Primark version of the ever-popular khaki/leather contrast jacket, which I adore- but now I have also fallen in love with this camouflage version from Lavish Alice!

I love the tapestry-style print on this dress and the low V-cut mesh neckline. I never know how to style maxi dresses/skirts for nights out, but I think this one is perfect because of the darker colours in the tapestry print and the low V-cut mesh neckline.

I hope you like this weeks picks! :)

Weekly Wishlist #26

I love the lace detail on this playsuit- I think it looks like a little cape, which is so unique and delicate-looking.

This is such a basic jumper but it looks so comfortable and lightweight making it great for layering for the bipolar weather we seem to experience in the Autumn. Blue isn't a colour that appears in my wardrobe often but I love this cobalt blue shade.

I am really getting in to the tassel trend lately, even though I don't own anything with the fringe detailing yet. I really like this top and I actually think it could be very versatile- tucked in to denim shorts for the day time and with disco shorts/ pants for a night time look.

I was very uncertain what I thought about these jackets when they first came out but the hype has definitely caught on to me! This is the original River Island version, but there are plenty of dupes and variations out there so I think I am going to shop around for my perfect one!

I am loving the amount of burgundy that has popped up on the LOVE website recently- burgundy is one of my favourite shades to wear for Autumn/Winter. This dress has made an appearance on one of my previous wishlists in black, but I really love this version and I think the burgundy looks much nicer with the black waistband.

I hope you like my picks for this week! What is your favourite A/W12 trend?

Weekly Wishlist #25

This week's wishlist has been somewhat of a saviour for me this week haha! I have been feeling very exhausted and unhinged recently, and scouring through the new-in sections has been cheering me up and keeping my mind off things. Only thing is that I also feel the need to purchase everything on this list- Why is shopping so therapeutic?! :(

Cut outs and dip dye are, of course, very on trend this year, and this jumper features both! I'm not sure if it's a little too much though? But I do love the grey dip-dye!

How very 40's flapper style! Admittedly, this dress doesn't look like much in the picture above, but I saw it on a model on the Glamorous Instagram page and it is amazing! It would be perfect for Autumn/Winter parties :)

I love the print on these shorts, the detail on them is really pretty and I think they would look lovely teamed with a black button up blouse for a gothic look with a girly twist.

I want in on this tassel trend, if you hadn't noticed :P I adore this body, I can imagine it looking amazing worn with a pair of black Disco Shorts... I love how the fringe is dip dyed to add a pop of colour!
This is the back of the dress shown in the picture above, I have a thing for cream/white dresses lately as I think they're really versatile and can be styled in a feminine or more edgy way. I love open back dresses too, so this caught my eye instantly!

I hope you like my picks! Are you loving the "fringe" trend?

Weekly Wishlist #25

Since getting my Glamorous Disco Shorts today, I have been thinking about what I can team them with. I love the embellishment on this crop top and I think it would look lovely paired with the high-waisted shorts and killer heels on a night out.

You all know I love crosses by now, right? I think the detail on the knee area of these leggings is really unique, and would make for a really interesting outfit, even if they are worn with a plain black top.

How pretty is this dress? I love how flouncy the skirt is- it reminds me a little bit of a tutu! I love the detail on the bodice too, the whole dress has such a delicate but "fun" look to it.

I think this would make a great piece for an "effortless" outfit. Teamed with a pair of black leggings, it would make a simple outfit for those lazier days, but the dipped hem and sequin cross detail would make you look a little more dressed up :)

I recently got a similar pair of these from Tribeca Shoes, but in black with a wooden heel. I love the shape of them- they're unique and I think they look really flattering. I really want this cream pair to add to my collection, and of course the spikes are a bonus!

I hope you like my picks this week! :)

Weekly Wishlist #24

Select is one of those shops that I feel has really upped their game recently. I never used to find anything that I liked in there but recently I've been spotting loads! This blouse is my favourite, I love the stud detail on it and I think it looks like something you would find in Topshop but at a more budget-friendly price.

Carrying on with my stud obsession, I came across this studded clutch bag on the Topshop website and fell in love.. It would be perfect for carrying around on nights out!

I love the scooped cut of the necklines on the Annie Greenabelle skater dresses, it reminds me of the neckline on ballet leotards and I think it looks very elegant. I love the dusty rose colour of the skirt aswell!

If I had £85 to spare, this could be my perfect coat to see me through autumn. It is similar to the Topshop army jacket that seems to be popular at the moment in the fact that it has contrast leather sleeves, but I think I prefer the trench style of this one better.

I hope you like my picks this week! :)

Weekly Wishlist #23

I have decided to rename this blog feature "Weekly Wishlist", as I don't think I am ever going to keep up with it every Wednesday haha. I am very excited to see the A/W collections starting to pile in to the New Arrivals sections of all the stores recently. Although I have enjoyed the pastel colours and cute prints this summer, layering up and darker shades are much more within my comfort zone.

These shoes remind me of a more modest, every-day-friendly version of the JC Litas and I think they would look lovely in the autumn with some skinny jeans tucked in.

I love the print and colour of this shirt. However, I have seen quite a few bloggers sporting leopard print blouses that they have picked up for a couple of pounds in charity shops, and I recall seeing one myself once (kicking myself for not picking it up!), so even though this River Island blouse isn't too pricey, a part of me wants to be frugal and hunt down a cheaper alternative!

I adore the print on this shirt, I think it is so adorable! I own another one of Glamorous' boyfriend style shirts and I love the way it fits, it is so versatile in that it can be worn tied up or tucked in to whatever bottoms you are wearing.

I have been telling myself for so long that I do not need this palette as I already own more neutral eyeshadows than I will ever need, but MUA won me over with their 25% off promo code and free shipping. I just took a quick break from writing this post to place my order as the offer ends at 5PM!

I am desperate to get my hands on this stunning lip colour after swatching it in store last week. It is the perfect orange-toned red that I have been searching for for a while- if only it wasn't so pricey, I would pick it up in a flash!

Are you excited for the A/W collections?

Wednesday Wishlist #22

I love this matching bra top and skirt set and I think these are good as they can make a nice, unique change from a typical dress or they could be worn separately.

I definitely do not need another "going-out" dress, but I have fallen in love with this. I have been loving the cut out detailed pieces that have been around lately and I think this collar adds a unique twist to an otherwise normal dress.

I am currently a fan of loose-fitting t-shirts with simple one-word slogans or designs on the front for the days where I can't be bothered getting dressed up. I think this one that says "Bellissimo" is really cute :)

I'm starting to look for some new every-day boots for A/W as I practically live in them. I have been loving my flatform/wedges so I really like these boots, they'll give me a little boost in height but are small enough for a casual outfit :)

I hope you like my picks! Nothing has majorly excited me this week :(

Wednesday Wishlist #21

I think I am becoming known for doing my Wednesday Wishlists on a Thursday now haha, I think this is the third time! Better late than never! You may or may not have noticed that I have been a little quiet in the blogosphere over the past few days. This is due to personal issues but I am keeping my chin up and getting my head back down to writing posts.

I discovered OLIVE the other day because of the £7 skull print tee that everybody seems to be going crazy over at the moment. I love the skull tee aswell but I think this Mickey Mouse t-shirt is cute in a very grotesque way hah!

Glamorous have recently come out with their own (more affordable!) version of the American Apparel Disco Pants, and now they have taken it even further and are stocking Disco Shorts, too! Definitely need to get my hands on both.

I love the detail on this dress and I think it looks really girly and sophisticated, although I would probably add a bit of edge by pairing it with my leather jacket. It also comes in black but I love this dusty rose colour.

I still love my dip-dyed hair although I am starting to get a little bored. I have been thinking of lightening it a little more and then adding some pastel pink and/or lilac to it... It would probably only be a temporary change as it is very "out-there" for me, but what do you think?

Is it too early to be shopping for gloves? I stumbled upon these ones and I fell in love... I prefer fingerless gloves as I am an avid texter haha, and you know how I love studs...

Wednesday Wishlist #20

My leather jacket is a staple item in my wardrobe and I throw it on over whatever I am wearing to cover up and give my outfit a grungy edge. I love this jacket from Topshop, the fringe detail adds a little something to separate it from other leather jackets and it looks fab on the back too!

I love simple band rings and I have seen these engraved word rings sold seperately in a few stores lately and have always liked the idea of mix-and-matching them, so I love that Topshop has brought out a set of them.

I am a big fan of tops and dresses with cut out detail lately. I think this one is super pretty and I love the three cut out sections in the bodice.

I am in need of a new, large-sized bag to carry all my things in when I am travelling about or when I need to carry a lot of things to uni. This looks the perfect size to fit everything in and I love that it comes with a short and long strap and side compartments.

The colours and the design on this Tiger Print scarf are so pretty and detailed. I think it would look lovely teamed with a simple outfit.

I hope you like this week's picks! :)

Wednesday Wishlist #19: Matalan AW12

Hi Ladies,

Today I have for you a Wednesday Wishlist with a bit of a twist. At the Carat Media event in Manchester last week, we were all given a little preview booklet of the Matalan AW12 collections. The new collections follow six themes: Gothic Glam, Man's World, Cyber Jam, Heritage, 60's Gamine and Wild Craft. I am very excited about some of the pieces that are going to be available so I thought I would put together this wishlist of my favourites so that you can all have a little peek at what to look forward to.

1. Rucksack £12.00
2. Pleather Skater Skirt £18.00
3. Spiked Denim Shorts £18.00
4. Vintage Print Skirt £18.00
5. Tuxedo Jacket £30.00
6. Fit and Flare Dress £20.00
7. Cropped Jumper £14.00
8. Sequin Trim Blouse £12.00
9. Red Chelsea Boots £16.00
 10. Tapestry Loafers £10.00

I definitely think Matalan have stepped up their game over the last year, I never used to find anything I liked in there but they have been getting it so right lately! If you know me you will know that I am obsessed with anything studded so I love the studded shorts that they are getting in, and the tuxedo jacket is such an edgy, androgynous take on a typical blazer. Matalan are also going a little bit Chelsea Boot crazy next season, and they are bringing them out in red (pictured), black, purple dalmatian print, fuschia, snakeskin and silver glitter!

So this is just a handful of the things that I love that are going to be in Matalan stores very soon! They have so many more on-trend pieces coming in, such as peplum tops, studded loafers, pyjama-style trousers and collar necklaces! If you would like me to do another post showing you more of the AW12 pieces and going in to a bit more detail about the different collections, let me know in the comments and I will! :)

What do you think so far of the Matalan AW12 collections?

Wednesday Wishlist #18

I only managed to find four things for my wishlist this week, but all of these pieces I absolutely love, and am having a very hard time trying to resist purchasing them!

It seems that tapestry designs are going to be big for Autumn/Winter 2012, and I love it on these loafers. They are only £22 aswell, which I don't think is bad at all for Topshop!

Every time I browse the RedRock website, I find something that I fall in love with. This cropped t-shirt is probably something that will turn a lot of heads, but I love it. It is part of RedRock's collaboration with Oxfam too, which means part of the profits made from sales will be donated to the charity!

I know the pewter version of these were in my last wishlist, but look. Black Disco Pants. For £30. If anybody would like to buy me a pair, feel free ;)

LovelySally has the most amazing leggings ever, the designs are so pretty! I think these ones are my favourites but I want them all!

I hope you like my picks! Have you had your eye on anything this week?

Wednesday Wishlist #18

Totally didn't realise it was Wednesday today until about three hours ago haha, so I was really unprepared for this post! I wasn't majorly inspired by the New-In sections this week, although after scouring around for a while I did find a few pretty gems :)

This top looks like any ordinary sequin embellished top from afar, but I fell in love with it when I took a look at the close-up photos on the River Island website. It is so colourful and I bet it would look really pretty for Summer parties.

This looks like such a simple, black going-out top, but I love the unusual cut and shape and think that this would make it a statement piece in itself.

I adore the pastel colours and floral print on these shorts from Tesco. At just £10 they're a steal too!

I love a red lip every now and again, but I have always leaned towards blue toned reds as I am terrified of yellow toned lipsticks making my teeth look yellow! I love the look of more orange-reds though and I think Sartorial would be a good place to start as it isn't too in-your-face. I also have my eye on the shade Rio Rio, too.

I love the things in the shops lately that are ever-so-slightly patriotic, but aren't just a union jack slapped in the middle of it.  I think these Matalan tops look really pretty- they have other designs such as Big Ben and Tower Bridge too.

I have wanted a pair PU panel leggings for while, but I always thought that PU leggings clung to me funny and looked a little saggy. These jeans might fit a little better, and I really like the added double zip detail.

I hope you like my picks! Have you had your eye on anything special this week?

Wednesday Wishlist #17

Firstly, I just want to apologise for the sporadic posting over the past few days. On Sunday I really had no excuse, but yesterday I was feeling quite ill and it gave me a headache to just look at my computer screen :( I am aiming to get a few posts up over the next couple of days to make up for it though :)

Anyway, on to my wishlist; it's a colourful one! I seem to put together brighter, more colourful wishlists when the weather is miserable haha.

1. Glamorous Disco Pants £39.99
I was very excited when I saw that Glamorous had brought out these AA Disco Pant dupes for a much more attractive price. They are only available in this pewter colour at the moment but I am hoping that a black pair will follow!

Since I bought myself this New Look bralet a month or two ago I have really been loving this style of top- I think they look lovely worn with high-waisted bottoms. I think the colours on this one are really pretty and I love the horizontal strappy back.

I love layering bracelets, and although I am unsure about the two chunky gold bangles, I think these would look really pretty layered up together in the Summer :)

I haven't really seen this style of top before but as I love dipped hem dresses and skirts, I am sure I can make room for a dipped hem crop top too haha! I can imagine it looking lovely paired with a pair of denim shorts.

5. Topshop Evil Eye Ring £5.00
Remember this little guy from last year when everybody in the blogging and YouTube world raved about him? I can't actually find this on the Topshop website but I have seen it in store a couple of times over the last week or two. I have had to leave it behind though, as I haven't been able to find my size (SML) in stock :(

I hope you like my picks! What have you had your eye on this week?

Wednesday Wishlist #16 Birthday Edition!

I was incredibly uninspired by the New In sections this week :( So with my years as a teenager coming to an end with my birthday coming up next week, I have decided just to put together a wishlist of the things I would like to spend my birthday money on! I haven't put much thought in to things I want for my birthday- I don't get as excited as I did when I was eight :( haha, and I don't really need anything (although I could do with a new watch!), so these are mainly just a few things that I have had my eye on for a while that I probably couldn't justify buying otherwise haha.

I got a sample of this in a Glossybox last year, and although it took me a while to get used to, I ended up really liking it. It has such a unique, kind of dark scent (I'm just going to jump on the bandwagon of people who are terrible at describing fragrances!).

I think this watch made an appearance in a wishlist a while ago (maybe my Christmas one?)... yep, I still don't have one! I am hoping to find a cheaper alternative that looks just as nice though, I am finding it hard to justify wearing £200 on my wrist every day, I'd be terrified of scratching it! If anybody can suggest any to me, please do! :)

3. Bird Print Shirt £50.00
This is the only thing I found in the New In sections this week that I really liked. Even then, I think I would prefer it more if it was sleeveless. How gorgeous is that print though? I'm really loving mirror print things this season too.

I am still yet to jump on the Lita/ Lita-Like bandwagon! I can't decide whether I should start off my collection with this pair, or a black pair... What do you think?

I hope you like my picks! Have you found anything you like in the New In sections this week?

Week (or two) in Instagrams #14

For some reason I forgot to do my Week in Instagrams post last week and I didn't take that many photos this week, so I have decided to combine my Instagrams from the past couple of weeks for this post :) Also, I am in two minds about carrying on with my Week in Instagrams post, I don't know if many people like reading them... So if you like reading these posts, please do let me know!

Follow me on Instagram: @FrancesCassandra

1. My lovely parcel from Gem at Flutter and Sparkle :) I now have an Urban Decay Naked 2 palette!

2. My attempt at being healthy!

3. It's been a while since I had to get up this early. Do not like.

4. How can they justify charging people £5 for this, please?!

5. Chicken Tikki Masala, om nom nom!

6. An Indian and a Chinese on the same day. Naughty!

7. Pretty pink parcel paper :)

8. The gorgeous Feud shoes I won!

9. I'm loving the Hydroxatone Facial Brush! If you live in the U.S. or Canada, this may be of interest to you; I will be writing a blog post on it soon!

10. Love my tiger socks! :)

11. I hate when this happens :(

12. Two of my friends got each other's name tattooed on their legs. It's guy love, between two guys.

I hope you have all had a lovely week! Are you celebrating the Jubilee this Bank Holiday weekend?

Wednesday Wishlist #15

Not a lot has caught my eye in the New In sections this week, I'm afraid (although this is probably a lot better for my bank account), but I did manage to find a few pretty gems hidden amongst the pages :)

I love how mildly patriotic this Topshop scarf is, with the teacup, Big Ben and Telephone box print (have a look on the website for a better view of the print) yet it isn't too over-the-top. I love the way the print looks like little watercolour paintings too.

I adore the heart cutout back detail of this blouse, it just adds a pretty, unique touch to an otherwise plain shirt.

I am never usually drawn to brightly patterned shoes as I never know what to wear them with, but I love the colour and pattern of these ones, and I think they would look lovely with a white dress or top to add a subtle pop of colour.

This blouse is just so sickly sweet (literally!) and busy, but I am just drawn to it for some reason; I can't resist the cupcake, cookies and party ring print. I actually think that it looks lovely with a plain pair of shorts or jeans like the model is wearing to tone it down a little.

I hope you like my picks!

Wednesday Wishlist #14

I feel like I've been a bad blogger lately; I'm used to blogging every day but for the past couple of weeks I feel like I've slacked a little bit. Yesterday I was hoping to get a summery OOTD up since the sun was shining but instead I developed a cold and was curled up on the sofa for most of the afternoon feeling sorry for myself :( I'm still not 100% today and it has taken me far too long to put this wishlist together as even looking at my computer screen makes my head throb, but I felt like I needed to get it up. Enjoy! :)

I really love the detail on these shorts. The print is so detailed and the colours are really pretty; they'd look lovely with a white chiffon blouse tucked in to them :)

This bralet reminds me a little of the Motel bralet I featured in my Wednesday Wishlist a few weeks ago. I'm really loving bralets worn with high waisted skirts at the moment, and brightly coloured ones like this are perfect for sunny days and nights out.

I have been on a hunt for a new perfume lately, but I think my taste in perfumes has changed quite a bit and I couldn't find something that suited me well enough. I know quite a few people like this perfume so I had a little whiff of it in Debenhams the other day and I love it. The bottle is gorgeous too!

Will somebody please tell me if these are hideous or not? I'm not sure haha. I love my black chelsea boots, they're just so comfortable, but I think they are a bit too warm and dark for summer. These ones remind me of the 60s/70s but I can imagine them worn with pretty pastel dresses and I think they would look really cute.

I hope you have all been enjoying the sunny weather and aren't ill in bed like me :(

Week in Instagrams #13

Quite a heavy Instagram post this week, I found myself just snapping pictures of random things. Despite that, I haven't really been up to that much, I went for a mooch around town and charity shopping earlier in the week, and as I haven't had a night out for a while I decided to venture in to town with some old school friends for drinks last night :)

1. This made me laugh when I got it. I doubt my mum would appreciate a Words With Friends game for Mother's Day.

2. These curtains aren't great for mornings when I want a lie-in as the sun shines straight through them :(

3. Checked out the new Essie stand in my locals Boots!

4. My new blog design done by the lovely Felicity.

5. A Montagne Jeunesse Travel Pamper Pack to try out. A review will be up in the next week :)

6. Got way too excited when this fell through my letter box. Too cute!

7. Bacon and Cheese stuffed mushrooms.

8. My ombre/dip-dye nails :) See my post on them here.

9. Fell in love with this Lipsy maxi dress in a charity shop for only £7 but didn't pick it up because I didn't know if/when I would wear it. Definitely regretting leaving it there!

10. Hit 800 followers this week, so happy! Thanks everybody :D

11. Smoked kipper and rice for dinner.

12. This is good stuff!

13. Tried the new Magnums. So good but very sickly!

14. Chicken and cheese pitta with fruit juice for breakfast :)

15. My lip saviours at the moment.

16. My night out last night resulted in me randomly purchasing a photo keyring. I don't even know two of the people on it.

I hope you have all had a lovely week! :)

Wednesday Wishlist #13

I seem to have unintentionally gone by a girly, frilly, floral theme this week; there are just so many pretty cream and pastel pieces out on the high street at the moment!

Matalan have got it so right this Spring! I don't think this photo does it justice, but I spotted this blouse in store today and it is really pretty and would look lovely tucked in to a pair of plain shorts or jeans.

I really like leggings that have a little bit of detail on them to make them look a bit more interesting, and this pastel aztec pattern is really on trend right now.

I really don't need another dress but how gorgeous is this? This is another Matalan piece that I saw when I popped in there today. I think it would look lovely on a sunny day paired with a denim jacket.

4. Crochet Shorts £25.99
I've wanted a pair of crochet shorts for a while now and I loved this scalloped Zara pair. They also have a black pair that I quite like, although I think they give a competely different feel.

This is such a simple accessory but I think it would look really cute worn like a pussy bow under the collar of a sheer blouse :)

I hope you like my picks! Are you loving all the pastel prints at the moment?
