Matalan £5 Shoes Event.

Top to Bottom: Black Block Heel Court Shoes, Nude/Cream Block Heel Court Shoes, Black Metal Detail Loafers: Matalan £5 each.

This post is a little late going up, but I didn't want anybody missing out on this amazing offer, plus I wanted to share my mini shoe haul with you. Until tomorrow, Matalan have reduced a selection of their shoes to just £5.00! The offer is valid both online and in store and while stocks last so hurry if you want to grab a bargain- You could be saving up to £11.00 on a pair of shoes! If you're buying online, you can also select their free Click and Collect service so that you can pick your shoes up from your nearest store :) I rushed straight down to my local store when I heard about the offer on Thursday and I picked up three pairs of shoes; my favourites have got to be the nude/cream bow heels (you can see me wearing the black ones here) which are unfortunately sold out online, but check your nearest store as they might still have them! I was also tempted by these Metal Detail Patent Wedges in nude and black but I decided to be good as I already own similar shoes, although I am still resisting the urge to go back and purchase them today!

You can have a look at what is up for offer in the £5 Shoes Event here, or head down to your local Matalan store as they may have more! Don't forget the offer ends tomorrow (Sunday, April 21)!

Have you picked up any shoes in the £5 Shoes Event? Which ones did you pick?

Outfit: Velvet Lace.

-Scheduled post

Dress: C/O Matalan* | Shoes: New Look | Earrings: Dorothy Perkins | Rings: L-R Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins | Nails: Barry M Raspberry

With party season well under way, we are all shopping for the perfect outfits to wear for all the Christmas and New Year celebrations. Matalan are going all out this year and bringing out some beautiful party dresses for Winter 2012 and I was given the opportunity to style one to share with you :)

You can never go wrong with an LBD, which is why I chose this classic number. The lace detail sets it aside from your average basic bodycon dress and adds a classy twist to it. Even though it is figure hugging, the high neckline and the above-the-knee length make it a more conservative dress, which I think would be perfect for wearing to a meal with family or friends. I find that the intricate velvet lace detailing means that there is no need for you to accessorize too much (which makes outfit planning SO much easier), but I decided to add some gold rings and earrings to match the gold detail on my shoes.

Have you got your festive party outfits sorted?
*DISCLOSURE: Starred items are PR samples.

Wednesday Wishlist #19: Matalan AW12

Hi Ladies,

Today I have for you a Wednesday Wishlist with a bit of a twist. At the Carat Media event in Manchester last week, we were all given a little preview booklet of the Matalan AW12 collections. The new collections follow six themes: Gothic Glam, Man's World, Cyber Jam, Heritage, 60's Gamine and Wild Craft. I am very excited about some of the pieces that are going to be available so I thought I would put together this wishlist of my favourites so that you can all have a little peek at what to look forward to.

1. Rucksack £12.00
2. Pleather Skater Skirt £18.00
3. Spiked Denim Shorts £18.00
4. Vintage Print Skirt £18.00
5. Tuxedo Jacket £30.00
6. Fit and Flare Dress £20.00
7. Cropped Jumper £14.00
8. Sequin Trim Blouse £12.00
9. Red Chelsea Boots £16.00
 10. Tapestry Loafers £10.00

I definitely think Matalan have stepped up their game over the last year, I never used to find anything I liked in there but they have been getting it so right lately! If you know me you will know that I am obsessed with anything studded so I love the studded shorts that they are getting in, and the tuxedo jacket is such an edgy, androgynous take on a typical blazer. Matalan are also going a little bit Chelsea Boot crazy next season, and they are bringing them out in red (pictured), black, purple dalmatian print, fuschia, snakeskin and silver glitter!

So this is just a handful of the things that I love that are going to be in Matalan stores very soon! They have so many more on-trend pieces coming in, such as peplum tops, studded loafers, pyjama-style trousers and collar necklaces! If you would like me to do another post showing you more of the AW12 pieces and going in to a bit more detail about the different collections, let me know in the comments and I will! :)

What do you think so far of the Matalan AW12 collections?
