Matalan £5 Shoes Event.

Top to Bottom: Black Block Heel Court Shoes, Nude/Cream Block Heel Court Shoes, Black Metal Detail Loafers: Matalan £5 each.

This post is a little late going up, but I didn't want anybody missing out on this amazing offer, plus I wanted to share my mini shoe haul with you. Until tomorrow, Matalan have reduced a selection of their shoes to just £5.00! The offer is valid both online and in store and while stocks last so hurry if you want to grab a bargain- You could be saving up to £11.00 on a pair of shoes! If you're buying online, you can also select their free Click and Collect service so that you can pick your shoes up from your nearest store :) I rushed straight down to my local store when I heard about the offer on Thursday and I picked up three pairs of shoes; my favourites have got to be the nude/cream bow heels (you can see me wearing the black ones here) which are unfortunately sold out online, but check your nearest store as they might still have them! I was also tempted by these Metal Detail Patent Wedges in nude and black but I decided to be good as I already own similar shoes, although I am still resisting the urge to go back and purchase them today!

You can have a look at what is up for offer in the £5 Shoes Event here, or head down to your local Matalan store as they may have more! Don't forget the offer ends tomorrow (Sunday, April 21)!

Have you picked up any shoes in the £5 Shoes Event? Which ones did you pick?

Small Haul: Primark, H&M, The Body Shop and Body Care.

Today, I started back at university as a third year student- scary! Glad to be getting back in to a routine after six months of slobbing about, even though I am definitely not looking forward to the stress of deadlines and dissertation writing. I had a mooch around town after my induction session and treated myself to a few things so I thought I would share them with you! :)

 Black Bucket Bag: Primark £12.00
This is the main reason why I ventured in to Primark. I have seen this Zara-esque bag floating around on quite a few blogs recently- I was half expecting it to be so hyped up that I wouldn't be able to get my hands on it but I was glad to see that there were quite a few still on the racks when I went in. I have been needing a new bag and this one is definitely going to be my go-to one for carrying all my things around. I am now looking forward to doing an updated "What's In My Bag" post, as I love reading other people's and I had been putting off doing my own as my current bag is falling apart!

 Black Rucksack: Primark £9
Whilst I was looking at the bucket bag, I spotted this one next to it and suddenly couldn't decide between the two. As they are so different I decided I would treat myself to both of them- at £9 this was hardly leaving a hole in my wallet! I love this kind of rucksack after seeing them become quite popular recently and I think it will be great for days when I don't need to carry as many things.

Shorts: H&M £6.99 £3.00
This is a bit of a boring purchase really, but I spotted these shorts while having a quick rummage through the H&M sale racks. They feel so soft and are just going to be used as a comfy pair of shorts to throw on on those lazy Sundays.

Cucumber Freshening Water: The Body Shop £4.00 £2.00
The next few purchases I actually bought earlier in the week, but I thought I would throw them in to fill out this post! I had been needing a new toner to add to my daily cleansing routine so I thought I would give this a go as it was reduced and I am usually a fan of cucumber products as they are so light and refreshing!

Wild Cherry Lip Butter: The Body Shop £3.00 £1.00
I also thought I would pick this up at the same time as the toner as it was another bargain and I am an avid lip balm collector haha! This smells lush as well, which is always a plus!

Technic Carnival Nail Polish
Technic Mermaid Nail Polish
Body Care 99p each
I have always had a quick look in Body Care to see if they have the infamous OPI Rainbow Connection dupe in stock, and had no such luck until I walked in earlier this week and they were fully stocked up on them! I also fell in love with Mermaid, which is a mixture of chunky blue and turquoise glitter that really does remind me of the ocean, or a mermaid's tail, so at a bargainous 99p each I snapped them both up!

I hope you liked this post! Have you picked up any bargains recently?

Small Haul: Matalan, Dorothy Perkins, LUSH

I've gone and done it again! I cannot resist mooching around the shops and making a sneaky purchase whenever I am in town! I always try to justify it by the fact that the things I buy are quite cheap but I do think I need to start disciplining myself a little better haha!

Big Ben T-Shirt: Matalan £10.00 £5.00

This t-shirt was featured in one of my Weekly Wishlists a while ago when they first hit the shelves but I never got round to buying one, so when I saw that they were in the sale I decided I couldn't miss out! I almost ordered all three of the London-themed t-shirts online but I am glad I waited and visited my local store as I was quite disappointed by them- the detail on them isn't great and you can't really tell what they pictures on them are supposed to be. The Big Ben t-shirt was probably the best of the three so I just picked that one up.

Straw Trilby Hat: Matalan £6.00 £3.00

This was definitely an impulse purchase- I hardly wear hats so I don't tend to buy them, but I have seen these straw hats on other people and they look so cute so I am going to make this one work. I definitely wish I was going to a festival this year as I think this is the ultimate accessory!

All jewellery: Dorothy Perkins £1.00 each.

Of course I had to make another trip to Dorothy Perkins; they seem to add new items to their jewellery sale all the time! I love the turquoise cross earrings and the hippy-esque Peace rings... I am also starting to build a collection of these head scarves/bands as I am very in to wearing them when I have my hair in a messy bun. I accidently threw away all the tags before I wrote this post so I don't know the original prices of the products.

Admittedly, I bought this solely because of it's gorgeous purple and gold colour, but I know if you have used this before that this was your reason too ;) It does smell divine however and I can't wait to use it; I will type up a blog post on it once I have decided on the verdict :)

Are you a sensible shopper or can you not resist a bargain, like me?

Jewellery Haul: Topman & Dorothy Perkins (£46 worth of jewellery for £5!)

It feels like ages since I last did a haul... I have been quite good lately with not spending my money on clothes and jewellery but I thought I would treat myself to a few little things went I went in to town the other day. It wasn't until I got home that I realised exactly how much I had got for my money- it turns out I had saved £41 in the sales!

Skull Necklace: £12.00 £1.00
Dinosaur and Cat Necklace: £12.00 £1.00
Both Topman.

Total: £24.00 £2.00

As you may know, I am a big fan of skulls at the moment, and I am sure that this necklace has been in the women's section too so I couldn't pass it up when I saw it in Topman reduced to £1. The cat and the dinosaur pendants were sold together but I mainly bought them for the cat one. Such a cat lady, I know. Anybody else confused as to why a cat and a dinosaur are sold together? Haha. I haven't included them in this haul, but I also purchased a pair of wooly socks from Topman for £1. FYI, men's socks are far comfier than women's!

Peace Heart Necklace: £6.50 £2.00
Pack of 6 Pairs Earrings: £6.50 £1.00
Hamsa Hand Earrings: £4.00 £1.00
Skull Necklace: £5.00 £1.00
All Dorothy Perkins

Total: £22.00 £3.00 (Buy one, get one free)

I love looking at the jewellery in Dorothy Perkins, I think they are great for pretty, dainty pieces, and the sales are always amazing! At the moment they have a Buy One, Get One Free offer on their sale jewellery so there are many bargains to be had! I absolutely adore the hamsa hand earrings and the skull necklace; they're so tiny and delicate. There was also a pair of diamante studs on the pack of 6 earrings but I gave those to my friend.

Grand total: £46.00 £5.00

And that is what I call a very successful shopping trip!
Have you found any bargains lately?

Liverpool Haul: Primark, H&M, Dorothy Perkins

Today, I hopped on a train with a good friend of mine to Liverpool for a catch up and a mooch around the shops. I treated myself to a few things with my birthday money- I am quite proud as everything I picked up was under £7 and my grand total for the day came to just over £20.00! Saying that, my friend managed to come home having only spent £5. Oh.

Black and White Cami Tops: Primark £2.00 each
Feather Head Scarf: Primark £3.00 £1.00
I am definitely proud of myself for only spending £5.00 in Primark, mainly on essentials too! I had been meaning to pick up a couple of camis to wear under sheer shirts, so I thought I would pick them up here at only £2 a pop. I am also loving wearing head scarves when I have my hair up in a top knot, so I picked up this pretty feather print one.

 Love Is Hard Top: H&M £9.99 £5.00
If you haven't already checked out the H&M sale, you should, there are some amazing bargains to be found! I love the print of this top and the fact that it buttons down at the back, too. It is also slightly cropped and made of a lightweight material, so it is perfect for keeping cool or layering up.

 Colour Block Pleated Skirt: H&M £14.99 £7.00
I picked up this skirt as soon as I saw it. I have been looking for a simple, everyday pleated skirt, and I love the cornflower blue hem on this one.

Silver and Gold Cross Bracelets: Dorothy Perkins £5.00 each £2.00 each
I love crosses and I remember a similar bracelet to these (minus the engraved detail) being sold in Miss Selfridge a while back but I missed out on them, so I was pleased when I spotted these! I couldn't decide whether I liked the silver or the gold better so I picked up both haha!

I hope you like my purchases, have you shopped the H&M sale?

Mini Beauty Haul: Lush, Superdrug, TK Maxx.

It feels like ages since I last did a beauty haul! This isn't the most exciting haul; I am trying to resist buying clothes and jewellery for a few weeks, so I decided to satisfy my urge to by something by purchasing a few essentials that I have been putting off buying for a while haha!

Sally Hansen Strengthening Polish Remover: Superdrug £2.39
I got the Sally Hansen Moisturising Polish Remover as part of a Christmas present and I really liked it; it removed my nail polish effortlessly so I decided to pick up the Strengthening formula this time as I am always trying to prevent my nails from breaking.

EVA Unbreakable Hair Keravis Protein with Argan Oil Repairing Mask: TK Maxx £25.99 £12.99
I have never heard of this brand before, but I have seen this tub of hair treatment pop up in TK Maxx a couple of times recently. I am booked in to the hairdressers next Monday to get my hair ombre'd (I'm so excited!) so I am trying to get my hair in as good condition as I can. This mask had been discounted from £25.99 to £12.99 for 500ml of product, and I can't wait to try it as I have wanted to try out some Argan Oil products for a while. It smells absolutely amazing too! I believe this brand is more readily available in the U.S., however like I said I have seen this in TK Maxx a few times, so if anybody would like to see a review, let me know!

Gilette Venus Razor Refills: Superdrug £6.59
This is probably the most boring purchase of the lot, and the one I have been putting off buying for the longest time, but my blunt razor just isn't doing it's job very well any more haha! They just seem so expensive for what they are, which is why I always pick up these ones, because they are the cheapest aha!

Lush Amandopondo Bubble Bar: LUSH £2.69
It feels like forever since I last had a bubble bath, so I decided to pop in to Lush and treat myself to a bubble bar. I have never used this one before so I am excited to try it; it is a decent size for the price and smells beautifully of roses.

That's it for this beauty haul! Let me know if you would like to see a review of any of the items I bought! :)

Haul: Matalan, Topshop, Glamorous, Jovonna London

So my spending ban isn't quite going to plan :( But my mum kindly treated me to two of the things in this haul so it isn't too bad, but next week I aim to not buy anything! Wish me luck haha!

Long Sleeve Floral Blouse: Matalan £16.00
This is the blouse I wore in yesterday's outfit post. I bought it last week to wear at the iFabbo UK Conference; I love the print on it and the colours are so pretty.

Sleeveless Mirror Print Shirt: Matalan £14.00
I spotted this blouse on the Matalan website as soon as it came out and fell in love with it straight away, but whenever I visited my local Matalan, they never seemed to have it. Trust it to make an appearance when I popped in to pick up the above shirt... of course I had to leave with both of them!

Blue and White Thin Stripe Skinny Jeans: Glamorous £29.99 £19.99 £15.99
This is one of the things that my lovely mummy bought for me. For a while now I haven't really been a jeans person, but I have recently been getting back in to them. These ones are already a great price at £19.99 in the Glamorous sale but with the 20% off code that was floating around last month, plus free delivery, I just had to get them!

Leather Waistband Jumpsuit: Jovonna London £70.00 £15.00 £12.50
This is another thing that I found a 20% off code for and simply had to have. I adore the colour of it and the faux leather waistband detail. It is still available on the Jovonna London website so if you like it, go and snap it up; at £15.00 reduced from £70.00 you certainly can't complain! It also came nicely wrapped up in tissue paper inside this bag, with a free Jovonna wrist strap, which I thought was a lovely touch!

Socks: Topshop £3.50 (3 for £8.00)
If you saw my outfit post yesterday, you will see me wearing the pair of socks on the right hand side, in my attempt to carry off the frilly socks trend. I also couldn't resist picking up the tiger socks, they're so funny and cute! :)

I hope you like my purchases! Have you bought anything recently?

Haul: New Look, Matalan, Internacionale, Dorothy Perkins & Superdrug

Somebody please take my purse off me and don't let me spend any more money?! I have no self control when it comes to mid-season sales and student discount. These are just a few things I have picked up over the past week.

Tan Mid Wedge Shoes: New Look £17.99
I love these shoes! I really like that they are not quite a flatform, but not a full-on wedge either. They're so easy to walk in and are perfect for the day time. In an ideal world I would also have a black pair, but I must be sensible!

Pastel Stripe Jumper: Internacionale £22.99 £12.00
I spotted this in the Internacionale sale whilst having a quick mooch around town on Monday, but didn't buy it at first, but this was one of those items that you get home and can't stop thinking about how much you want it. I don't actually own a proper jumper, and the pastel colours on this make it perfect for the more chilly Spring days. I went back yesterday to see if it was still there, and it was, so I snapped it up!

Bright Tropical Print Blouse: Matalan £16.00
This is probably the brightest item of clothing I have ever owned in my life! I've been trying to brighten up my wardobe a little for Summer and this certainly does it! I can't wait until we get a bit of sun so I can wear it out, it's really loose and flowy with a dipped hem and slits in the sleeves, which I love.

 Collar Necklace: £10.00 £1.00
Triangle Ring: £5.00 £1.00
(Both Dorothy Perkins)

I featured some Dorothy Perkins jewellery bargains in my last haul, and couldn't resist going back to pick up a couple more things. Absolute bargains!

Barry M Mint Green, Barry M Matt White: £2.99 each
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in Medium: £4.19
(All Superdrug)

I love mint green nail polishes and I have been needing a new one, so I opted for the cheap and cheerful Barry M. This is now my third repurchase of the wonderful Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer and I still love it as much as I did the first time I bought it! As Superdrug currently have a 3 for 2 offer across all cosmetics, I picked up another Barry M polish in Matt White as I didn't have a white polish and I think it is a staple colour to have in your collection.

I think a spending ban is in order!

Small Haul: eBay, New Look, Dorothy Perkins and Topman

I literally got home 20 minutes ago from a wander around town with a friend. I was quite good and managed to spend under £20, but I thought I would just show you the bits and bobs that I bought :)

Black Dipped Hem Skirt: eBay £12.99
Okay, so I didn't actually buy this today, I got it last week but I thought I would throw it in this haul. I couldn't really get a picture of this that did it any justice, but I should have an OOTN up in the next few days with it :) I'm 5 ft 3 in height and it falls to my ankle, just for reference if anybody is thinking of buying one.

Floral Bralet: New Look £16.99 (13.59 with 20% student discount)
I've been wanting a nice bralet for a while but couldn't justify buying one at Topshop and Miss Selfridge prices, but New Look has had some lovely ones in lately that are a little more affordable. I love the colours in this one, it's perfect for Summer.

Gold Drop Earrings: Dorothy Perkins £6.50 £1.00
Sequin Collar Necklace: Dorothy Perkins £12.50 £1.00
Robot Necklace: Topman £8.00 £1.00

I tend to go a bit mad in the jewellery sales, especially as Dorothy Perkins and Topshop/Topman do such good ones! I managed to control myself today though and just picked up three things. I had been wanting a collar necklace for a while, maybe not such a sparkly one, but with this being just £1 I couldn't really say no. I couldn't put the robot necklace down once I had picked it up either, it's just so cute! The gold earrings I decided to buy as I got the matching necklace in the sale a couple of months ago :)

Have you dived in to the mid season sales?
