Review: Debenhams Thank You Flowers.

Beautiful Day bouquet: Debenhams Flowers, £24.99*

There isn't a lot that I'd rather have to brighten up my bedroom and cheer me up after a stressful week than a vase of vibrant flowers on my desk. My loves over at Debenhams Flowers let me choose a little pick-me-up from their range of Thank You Flowers and I decided on their Beautiful Day bouquet, filled with a few of my favourites; white avalanche roses, scented pink lilies and violet antique carnations.

My bouquet arrived promptly the day after it was ordered, packaged in a sturdy purple box which keeps the flowers from getting squashed, but means that it is best to attend to them as quickly as possible to avoid any drooping. Including a packet of plant food to add to your vase of water and a card with care instructions (and a personalized message to your recipent) to help you get the most out of your flowers, Debenhams Flowers guarantee the freshness of your blooms for at least seven days. My bouquet has been standing strong on its little podium on my desk for just over a week now, and apart from a few browning petals here and there that just need pulling away, it still looks beautiful, and the last couple of lily buds are still yet to open (note: this particular bouquet looks very small when it arrives, but remember that lilies open up in to huge blooms!).

Debenhams Flower Delivery offers very affordable bouquets (with free standard delivery) for a great array of occasions (I keep eyeing up their Autumn range, the colours look stunning!) and you can check out a few of my past reviews below. They have also been so generous to provide my readers with an amazing 40% off their lovely bouquets with the code DFBLOG40 (excludes the Flowers By Post range), so why not treat yourself or brighten up that special someone's day with a beautiful bouquet of flowers? :)

What are your favourite flowers?

Review: Debenhams Valentines Flowers.

We're now in February which means that Valentine's Day is fast approaching and we're seeing love hearts and roses in every shop window. I am a single lady this year but at least the lovely people over at Debenhams spared me a thought and had this beautiful bouquet and a box of chocolates delivered to my door. Made up of twenty four classic red roses and a few sprigs of cinerea eucalyptus to add the finishing touch, this is a bouquet for those of you who like to stick to Valentine's traditions.

My bouquet arrived two days after the order was made by Royal Mail, but Debenhams have the option for your flowers to be delivered by courier if you want your bouquet to be guaranteed on Valentine's Day. I must admit, the bouquet that was delivered to me looked far from the impressive-looking arrangements pictured on the website and there were a few browning petals here and there, but I can't deny that it is a pretty bouquet non-the-less. Debenhams claim that their flowers will stay fresh for 7 days, and I am pleased to say that mine are still standing strong in their vase on my desk after a week.

There is a huge range of stunning flowers to choose from on the Debenhams Flowers website including bouquets of twelve red roses and also a single red rose in a cute little bud vase if you want to keep things simple. Or, for those of you who may not be in to roses, there are plenty of beautiful options for you, too. You also have the option of adding a box of chocolates, a teddy bear or a bottle of wine to your order if you really want to impress your loved one.

Debenhams have also been kind enough to provide me with a discount code for 15% off any bouquet from the Valentine's Flowers range, so if you are planning on treating somebody special to some flowers this year, make sure to enter the code VDBLOG at the checkout (expires midnight, February 12, 2014).

Are you going to surprise somebody with a bouquet this Valentine's Day? Or are you hinting for them instead? ;)

Review: Debenhams Christmas Flowers.

If you're looking for an extra something to give to your mum, your grandma or your aunt for Christmas, a bouquet of flowers is always a safe bet. Debenhams have brought out a range of festive bouquets to suit the occasion, made up of a selection of gorgeous red, white and green blooms. I was sent the Cinnamon Spice bouquet to review, and whilst I am a little disappointed at the lack of cinnamon fragrance, I agree that the Grandprix roses, cinnamon stick bundles and bunches of red berries make a very pretty arrangement which screams Christmas from it's vase on my dining room table. As usual, the flowers arrived unscathed in a sturdy box complete with some plant food to keep your bouquet looking great for as long as possible- Mine lasted for nearly two weeks before it started to look a little droopy!

Debenhams Flowers have kindly given me a discount code for £5 off all Christmas gifts until December 21, 2013, so if you fancy treating somebody to a pretty bunch of flowers (or even a nice bouquet to use as a dining table centre piece on Christmas Day), check out their full range here and don't forget to enter XMASBLOG at the checkout!

Will you be treating anybody to a bouquet for Christmas?
